Desire is a strange, sensual, and unpredictable energy.  It can occur like a slow smolder or hit you like a lightening bolt.  Many languages have different nuanced adjectives to describe desire and one of the phrases I thought was interesting is in French; la douleur exquise.  This roughly translates to the exquisite pain of wanting what you can never have and in My opinion coalesces with tease and denial quite well.  We always want what seems to elude us and sometimes it begs the question what exactly is it we’re looking for that is out of reach?  For some it is the wanting in and of itself that that fuels them; it makes them feel alive.  For others it is the idealization and the chase of the other…..the tantalizing flights of fantasy their consciousness creates that electrifies them.  Ultimately they are explorations of mind and self.  I think the ideal is to come from a place grounded in wholeness where  the desire comes from mutual love and respect.  Yes it is a typical feminine ideal, but one that is born out of compassion for the other person vs. objectifying them.  Although I wear a  detachable penis now and again I’m still a woman.  Tease and denial have the potential to add color to your sensual experience and can act as a catalyst or muse in other areas of your life.  It is a form of sensual play that has  the budding ability to bring out the best in the dance between the masculine and feminine.  Are you ready?
