It seems that BDSM and kink in general is infiltrating the main stream more and more these days. I’m not just talking about trash novels like 50 shades of Stupid or anything like that. Those types of portrayals of BDSM and its practices are extremely unrealistic, and let’s face it, if the main dude in that novel wasn’t rich and lived in a trailer park; he’d be on Jerry Springer instead of a romanticized kink captor. I got to see a lovely show on Netflix called Bonding. If you’re not familiar with the premise of the show, it is about a graduate student Mistress and her assistant/former school mate who work together and have some fun kink adventures. I have to give props to screen writers for their portrayal of one of the main characters, Tiff, aka Mistress May. She drops a few one liners that are very poignant regarding sexuality and kink. The fact that there is actually a show with alternative sexuality and kink practices gives Me hope that we’re moving more toward a sex positive culture. If you haven’t queued Bonding up in your Netflix binge, you should! Let Me know, and we can chat about it!
